Apex Latin America delivered is 500th ink metering roll to the Latin American market on December 29, 2011. According to the company, the facility has been operating at full production capacity near Curitiba, Brazil, since opening in September 2011.

“South and Central American flexography is at the cutting edge of printing technology, and their immediate embrace of Apex GTT and UltraCell anilox rolls is proof,” says Valcinei Bisineli, managing director of Apex Latin America.

Dercilio Oliveira, director of sales at Apex Latin America, adds: “Apex’s brand new, fully-automated, 2,000 square-meter plant serves all of Latin America flexo – from Argentina to Guatemala. With 21 highly-skilled employees and state-of-the-art lasers, we can meet international customer demand with technical innovation, professional attention and prompt delivery from our central industrial location.”

Situated on the grounds of a former indoor soccer arena in a suburb or Campo Magro, Apex’s new manufacturing complex is 2,000 square meters and features multiple fully-automated bridge cranes, lasers and plasma booths. Accoring to the company, additional lasers are expected to be in installed this year to meet growing customer demand.
